Esoteric returns.

One of the earliest fonts ever forged by Justified Ink, the original Esoteric was raw, gritty, and low-budget in the best possible way—a rough experiment in gothic lettering, decoration, and the unknown. Years later, we summoned it again.

The result is Esoteric II: The Heretic—a highly decorative gothic calligraffiti font built around modular letterforms, strange ornamentation, and a deliberate disregard for the rules.

Every piece of the alphabet is designed to connect, lock, and build upon the next. Decorative elements can chain together across a line, wrap around a composition, or form repeating patterns and circles. What begins as a letter can become an entire structure.

Six Styles. One Heretical System.

Esoteric II contains six total styles, beginning with the stripped-down foundation and progressively descending into greater levels of decoration.

Subtitle 1 — The essential letterforms. The structure beneath the ritual.

Subtitle 2 — The first layer of ornament begins to emerge.

Subtitle 3 — More connections, more decoration, more opportunities to build.

Subtitle 4 — The alphabet begins to feel less like type and more like an artifact.

Subtitle 5 — Maximum decorative chaos. Built for compositions that refuse to stay contained.

The Heretic — The complete expression. A fully developed gothic calligraffiti system where the letterforms and modular elements come together as one.

Modular Gothic Lettering

The real power of Esoteric II is in the pieces between the letters.

Decorative components are constructed to work together, allowing you to create extended borders, chains, symbols, circular arrangements, and larger ornamental compositions. Combine them, repeat them, mirror them, and let the forms grow beyond the boundaries of a conventional alphabet.

The result is a font that can be used as lettering, ornament, pattern, emblem, or raw material for building something entirely your own.

From Esoteric to Heretic

The original Esoteric was an experiment. Esoteric II is what happened when that experiment was given years of practice, obsession, and a much deeper understanding of letterforms.

There is something appropriate about bringing an old idea back to life and refusing to make it the same thing twice. The first version was about discovery. This one is about knowing the rules well enough to break them deliberately.

Inspired by the visual language of classic horror, vintage graphics, VHS-era imagery, analog decay, and gothic calligraphy, Esoteric II carries the atmosphere of something unearthed rather than manufactured.

It isn't clean. It isn't obedient. It was never supposed to be.
