Godetias is loosely dedicated to the flower by the same. Across each letter is a flourishing stroke, while the letterforms are composed of longer, sharper stemlike downstrokes to plant each letter firmly on the baseline.

This font is part of the collection by Justified Ink, called Blackletter II. After 15+ years creating, I began to focus on building personal libraries of my work. The Blackletter II Collection was created through writing page after page, and countless hours over a 2 year span of daily practice. Each font from this collection has been hand drawn, manually vectored, and custom set as a type-able font. It comes in a full set of 26 char alpha. Each font family has variations in styles and/or non-alpha chars.
